CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING THINGS.
* Living things and non-living things are all around us. Animals and plants are living things. Animals belong to the Animal Kingdom. Plants belong to the Plant Kingdom.
VERTEBRATES.
* Animals are classified into vertebrates and invertebrates. Vertebrates have a backbone inside their bodies. Invertebrates don't have a backbone inside their bodies. Humans are vertebrates.
INVERTEBRATES.
Invertebrates don't have a backbone inside their bodies. Molluscs, arthropods and worms are invertebrates. Octopuses and snails are molluscs. Spiders and ladybirds are arthropods.
Arthropods have a segmented body. They have three body parts: head, thorax and abdomen. Some arthropods have wings and some don't. Insects and spiders are arthropods. Insects have six legs. Spiiders
