Por segundo año consecutivo , nuestro deseo es ofrecer una educación bilingüe de calidad . Realizaremos todas aquellas acciones que conduzcan a la consecución de este objetivo. Entre estas acciones está la de ofrecer inmersiones lingüísticas a los alumnos del IES Juan Ramón Jiménez. La primera de ellas ha tenido lugar durante la semana del 18 al 22 de octubre. Este curso contamos con cuatro Assistants ( Auxiliares de conversación).

For the second consecutive year, we want to offer quality bilingual education. We will do  everything we can to achieve this commitment. Among these actions is the offering of linguistic immersion to the students of IES Juan Ramon Jimenez. The first opportunity for this happened the week of October 18th to the 28th. This school year we have four Assistants.

Enseñanza bilingüe en el IES Juan Ramón Jiménez.

El IES “Juan Ramón Jiménez” abrió sus puertas, por primera vez, en septiembre de 2015. Se encuentra ubicado en el distrito de Villaverde-Butarque y más concretamente en la calle Estefanita.

Los alumnos del centro provienen, en su gran mayoría, del CEIP “El Greco” (5 líneas), el CEIP de enseñanza bilingüe “Ausiàs March” (3 líneas con adscripción única), ambos ubicados en la calle Estefanita; del CEIP “Los Rosales” ubicado en la Avenida de los Rosales (3 líneas) y, en menor medida, del colegio concertado “Europa”; todos, centros pertenecientes al distrito de Villaverde.

El centro cuenta con 1050 estudiantes escolarizados hasta la fecha.

Nuestro Centro empieza a formar parte del Programa de Centros Bilingües de la Comunidad de Madrid en el curso 2020-2021. Desde este momento todo nuestro esfuerzo está enfocado a conseguir varios objetivos :

1 Dirigir el aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa como un instrumento de acceso a la información y a la cultura y como una            herramienta de  adquisición de conocimientos de diversa naturaleza.

2 Valorar la lengua inglesa como medio de comunicación y entendimiento entre personas de procedencias, lenguas y    culturas distintas, evitando cualquier tipo de discriminación y de estereotipos lingüísticos y culturales. 

3 Manifestar una actitud receptiva y fomentar la confianza del alumnado en su capacidad de aprendizaje y uso de la lengua  inglesa.

El IES Juan Ramón Jiménez es un centro bilingüe donde el idioma inglés está adquiriendo una gran importancia. Desde hace dos años se hacen viajes a Inglaterra con estancias educativas en familias, e incluso se hacen inmersiones en campamentos de inglés durante dos o tres días.

En el  centro hay  once grupos dentro del Programa Bilingüe, de estos, nueve son grupos de Programa ( de 1º  ESO) y otros dos de 1ºESO   de Sección que cursan la asignatura de inglés avanzado.

AUXILIARES DE CONVERSACIÓN

Este curso contamos con 3 auxiliares de conversación , que colaboran estrechamente con el profesorado bilingüe en las diferentes asignaturas que se imparten en inglés.

Bilingual teaching at IES Juan Ramón Jiménez.

IES Juan Ramón Jiménez opened its doors for the first time in September 2015. It is located in the Villaverde-Butarque area and more specifically on Calle Estefanita.

The majority of the students at the center come from CEIP “El Greco” (5 classes per grade) and CEIP “Ausiàs March” for bilingual education (3 classes per grade), both located on Calle Estefanita; from CEIP “Los Rosales” located on Avenida de los Rosales (3 classes per grade) and, to a lesser extent, from the “Europa” charter school. All centers belong to the Villaverde district.

To date, there are 1050 students enrolled at the center.

Our Center began taking part in the Community of Madrid’s Bilingual Centers Programme in the 2020-2021 academic year. From this moment, our efforts are focused on achieving several objectives:

1 To direct the learning of the English language as an instrument of access to information and culture and as a tool for acquiring knowledge of a diverse nature.

2 Value the English language as a means of communication and understanding between people of different origins, languages ​​and cultures, avoiding any type of discrimination and linguistic and cultural stereotypes.

3 Show a receptive attitude and encourage students' confidence in their ability to learn and use the English language.

 

IES Juan Ramón Jiménez is a bilingual center where the English language is gaining great importance. For two years, trips to England with educational stays with families have been made and students have participated in English language immersion at  English-speaking camps for the duration of two to three days.

 

At the center there are eleven groups within the Bilingual Programme, of these, nine are 1st ESO Programa, who study at least one other subject area in English and two are from 1st ESO Sección who study advanced English.

This school year we have 3 conversation assistants, who collaborate closely with the bilingual teachers in the different subjects taught in English.
