Proyecto de Bilingüismo
El IES Juan Ramón Jiménez es desde el curso 2020-2021 un Instituto Bilingüe en Inglés. Esto significa que aquellos alumnos que cursen de 1º a 2º ESO en el curso 2021-2022 se integrarán bien a Sección o bien a Programa , cuya diferencia fundamental estriba en el plan de estudios.
ALUMNOS DE SECCIÓN
Pueden incorporarse en 1ºESO a la los grupos de Sección los alumnos procedentes de centros públicos bilingües que acrediten, como mínimo, un nivel A2 del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas. También pueden solicitar plaza en la Sección alumnos de otros centros, sostenidos o no con fondos públicos, que acrediten, como mínimo, un nivel de inglés B1 para matricularse en 1º y 2º de ESO.
PLAN DE ESTUDIOS EN SECCIÓN Y PROGRAMA
Tanto los alumnos de Sección como los de Programa reciben 5 horas de Inglés a la semana, si bien en Sección la asignatura se denomina Inglés Avanzado e incorpora contenidos del currículum de inglés avanzado.

IES Juan Ramón Jiménez began as a bilingual high school starting in the academic year 2020 - 2021. Students enrolled in the first and second years of ESO in the school year 2021 – 2022 were divided between Sección and Programa whose fundamental difference was the groups’ plan of studies.
Sección Students
First year students who came from bilingual public schools and who have been accredited for having a minimum English proficiency level of A2 (according to the Common European Reference Point System for Languages) can be part of the Sección group. Likewise, students from other centers of learning (either publicly funded or not) and with a minimum accreditation of B1 in English may also be enrolled in the Sección group for the 1st and 2nd levels of ESO.
Plan for Studies for Sección and Programa
Both Sección and Programa students have five hours of English each week. However, Sección students receive “Advanced English” and incorporates content from an Advanced English curriculum.
