Este proyecto medioambiental  nace de la necesidad de concienciar al alumnado de 1º ESO de los temas medioambientales más relevantes. Con el dinero obtenido de la venta de los  Earth Grams se comprarán contenedores para reciclar papel  , o bien se destinará el dinero  a comprar una valla para el huerto que el departamento de Biología y Geología ha creado en el centro. Aún está por determinar.

Para ello he dividido el proyecto  sobre "EARTH DAY" ( 22 de abril) en cuatro fases:

1ª Fase 

Entrega de  documentación a los alumnos de 1º ESO sobre  temas medioambientales relacionados con la celebración del Día de la Tierra " Earth Day " . Se han leído artículos en inglés que giran entorno a temas como el reciclaje , la desforestación, la desaparición de especies , etc..  Los alumnos han aprendido expresiones y vocabulario en inglés para expresar  en inglés sus opiniones  por escrito ( creación de poemas ). 

2ª Fase 

a.  Propuesta de crear Pósters para conmemorar el Día de la Tierra " Earth Day". Los alumnos de 1º ESO han participado voluntariamente en esta actividad que ha ido acompañada de una rúbrica. Los Assistants  han sido los encargados de evaluar el mejor póster en función de la rúbrica. Una alumna de 1º ESO Sección ha recibido una planta como premio al mejor póster sobre el Día de la Tierra.

b. Creación de poemas en inglés sobre el día "Earth Day". 

3ª Fase

Venta de " Earth Grams" ,como así les he denominado a los plantones que hemos vendido junto a las macetas hechas de papel reciclado. Además se les ha entregado una hoja con las instrucciones en inglés para  trasplantar los plantones a una maceta.

4ª Fase

Los profesores de Biología y Geología han enseñado a los laumnos que han adquirido los plantones a traspantarlos a la tierra. Agradecemos su colaboración en este pequeño proyecto .

AGRADECIMIENTOS

- A los profesores del departamento de Biología y Geología por enseñar a los alumnos de 1º ESO a trasplantar los plantones con la tierra que adquirieron para esta actividad.

-A los Auxiliares de conversación por votar y calificar los pósters , y por entregar el premio a la alumna de 1º ESO.

 

ENVIRONMENT PROJECT

 This environmental project was born out of the need to raise awareness of relevant environmental issues. The money obtained from the sale of the Earth Grams will either buy containers to recycle paper, or the money will be used to buy a fence for the garden that the Department of Biology and Geology has created at the center. It is still to be determined.

 To do this, I have divided THE EARTH DAY project (taking place on the 22nd of April) into four phases:

 Phase 1

 Delivery of documentation to 1st ESO students on environmental issues related to Earth Day. Articles in the English language were read that revolved around topics such as recycling, deforestation, and the disappearance of species. Students learned expressions and vocabulary in English in order to express their opinions in writing (such as in the creation of poems).

 Phase 2

 A) The proposal to create posters in order to commemorate Earth Day. The 1st ESO students have voluntarily participated in this activity, which was accompanied by a rubric. The Conversational Assistants were responsible for evaluating the best poster according to the rubric.

A 1st ESO Sección student received a plant as an award for the best poster on Earth Day.

 B) Creation of poems, in English, for Earth Day.

 Phase 3

 The sale of "Earth Grams", seedlings planted in pots made from recycled paper. Additionally, the Earth Grams were accompanied by a sheet with instructions, in English, for transplanting seedlings into a larger pot.

 Phase 4

The teachers of Biology and Geology have taught the students who had acquired the seedlings how to transplant them properly into the Earth.
