Project: The State of ............... (2nd Part)

“Your Country”

Human Geography

 - History: In no more than a sheet of paper you have to explain the recent history of your country.

Population rates:  Look for the following information or your country:

  • Total Population
  • Total Births
  • Total Deaths
  • Total Infant Deaths (children from 0 to 1 year old) (Remember that you have to calculate infant deaths because the figures are not shown on the web page of US Census Bureau).

And calculate the following rates (you have to use the equations that I gave you):

  • Birth Rate
  • Death Rate
  • Infant Mortality Rate
  • Growth Rate

Add the following Rates that you can find at US Census Bureau:

  • Total Fertility Rate
  • Life Expectancy

- Analyze:

  • Now that you have all the rates of your country you have to analyze them, explaining if they are high or low, and the reasons or factors that explain why your country has these high or low rates

- Population Pyramid:

  • Copy the Population Pyramid of your country
  • Analyze it following the instructions given in class.

P.S.: In case you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me.
