What is Mediation?

In this current year we will continue to develop the educational project called MEDIATION TEAM, which has been so well received by the entire educational community. This initiative contributes in a very effective way to correct small conflicts that arise during the school day and that hinder social relations between students in the center.

Therefore, it is our goal that the students themselves are protagonists in tackling and offering solutions to everything that disturbs trust, understanding and cordiality that should preside over the development of school activities.

Once this project has been explained to all the students, some of them are selected by their own classmates as the ideal person to carry out the functions of assistant / mediator.

The role of the assistants/mediators in the school is incredibly rewarding and positive for both students and teachers. The experience will undoubtedly contribute to a deeper personal development that will help them in the future in other areas to solve other adverse or difficult circumstances. Teaching our students to solve problems derived from coexistence in a dialogical way will increase their self-esteem, improve relations among them and therefore foster the right school environment for true learning.

The assistant students / mediators will receive during the course a brief training during school hours and / or during the 7th hour given by the teachers of the Mediation Team so that they can perform their duties correctly.

The Guidance Department and the ESO’s Assistant Head of Studies will answer any questions you may have about this project.
