Electronics and Robotics
In this lesson we are going to see some basic electronic components. These components are made of semiconductor materials: sometimes they conduct and sometimes they don't.
We are going to learn how diodes and transistors work, and we'll see how to assemble automatic circuits with them.
We'll see as well how to get more versatile circuits by using a programmable board: Arduino. So we'll keep on working with Arduino assembling more complex circuits.

QCad
QCAD is a free, open source application for computer aided drafting (CAD) in two dimensions (2D). With QCAD you can create technical drawings such as plans for buildings, interiors, mechanical parts or schematics and diagrams.
QCAD works on Windows, macOS and Linux. The source code of QCAD is released under the GPL version 3 (GPLv3), a popular Open Source license.
The version of the program we are going to use is QCAD 2.0.5.0.

3D printing
This is the second year we study 3D printing. This time we are going to learn how to use a new program, FreeCAD.
FreeCAD is an open-source parametric 3D modeler made to design real-life objects of any size.
You can download the program here: https://www.freecadweb.org/downloads.php
When we work with FreeCAD, we get .FCSTD files. If we want to print our object, whe have to export the file as .stl. Then, we have to open the .stl file with a slicer program, such as Repetier host, and slice it.
FCSTD file STL file GCODE file
Once we have the .GCODE file, we can send it to the 3D printer and get the object we have designed.

Excel
Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program used for storing, organizing and manipulating data. It can create charts and other data visuals.
Microsoft Excel is included in the Microsoft Office aplication suite. You have to pay for it. If you don't have it, you can use a similar free program, Calc, which is part of the OpenOffice aplication suite. You can download OpenOffice for free here.

Periodo extraordinario
- Electronics and robotics. Lee las prácticas y contesta a las siguientes preguntas: preguntas electronics and robotics.
- QCad.
