Last October 2023, CEPA Joaquín Sorolla presented a project for the granting of Erasmus+ Accreditation in Adult Education, along with another 107 applications from other centers. On Monday, February 19, the list of Spanish institutions that have obtained the Erasmus+ Accreditation was published, and our CEPA Joaquín Sorolla is the 14th among the 50 selected institutions.
All the school staff and the teaching team are very excited and motivated with this accreditation, since it means that from July 2024 to 2027 our center will be able to count on funding from the European Union to carry out mobilities of both teachers and students to other European Educational Institutions.
In these next three years, we intend to give a great boost to the internationalization of our center, addressing the following objectives:
- Improve the sustainability of the center by encouraging community participation, based on European models that have created reference spaces committed to sustainable development.
- Learn about motivational activities and methodologies successfully implemented in Europe that motivate younger students to rejoin the educational system and continue post-compulsory studies.
- Promote interculturality, coexistence and tolerance among the center's students, promoting social cohesion and participation in European democratic life as active citizens.
- Training and observation in European centers on how to reduce the digital divide by working on digital skills transversally.
