Europe’s countries Europe’s countries

For the study of unit 2, EUROPE I am going to let you know some things:

- we are going to study all the names related to Europe...in English

- we are going to study political and relief maps

- we are going to study  european countries and their capital cities

- we are going to study mountains, rivers, oceans, seas, capes, gulfs (and bays), depressions and watersheds

- we are going to practice all these things through a web that we have used before:

- we will test all the knowledge we have through a political map and a relief map

- we will make a project in which each student will have a country to work on

we are ready to start!

Europe’s Relief Europe’s Relief

At school we are going to practice Europe’s relief using the following presentation:

As you can see on the presentation, it talks about a lot of places but we are going to focus on:

- rivers and seas:

We have to learn: Thames, Seine, Loire, Rhine, Po, Danube, Volga, Pechora related to rivers.

We have to learn: Atlantic Ocean, Artic Ocean (no aparece pero es el límite del norte de Europa), Mediterranean Sea, North Sea, Baltic Sea, Black Sea, Caspian Sea.

- plains: we only have to learn the Great European Plain that is mainly in the middle of Europe.

- mountains: 

We are going to learn: Pyrenees,  Alps, Apennines, Scandinavian Mountains (in Norway and Sweden), Carpathian Mountains, Balkan Mountains, Caucasus Mountains and Ural Mountains. 

- peninsulas: 

We are going to focus on; Iberian Peninsula, Scandinavian Peninsula, Italian Peninsula, Jutland Peninsula, Balkan Peninsula.
