About the author:
Anne Fine is a British author best known for her children’s books. She has written more than 40 books. Fine started writing by chance. One day, she was trapped in a cold house by a snowstorm and she was unable to get to the library. She started writing to cheer herself up. She refuses to use a word processor and prefers to write with a pencil. Although Fine is famous for her comedies, her books have sometimes got a serious theme. Her most famous book is probably Madame Doubtfire, which deals with parental separation and divorce. It was made into a Hollywood film with the famous actor Robin Williams in the leading role.
