THANKSGIVING-2021 

Seguimos creyendo en el  proyecto bilingüe del IES Juan Ramón Jiménez. En estos tiempos el agradecimiento es un acto de concordia y de valentía . Agradecer es crear un espacio de reencuentro, un lugar para la paz, una forma de alejar el odio de nuestras vidas. Los mensajes de agradecimiento que aparecen en el árbol a la entrada del hall del IES Juan Ramón Jiménez giran entorno a la familia, a los amigos y al trabajo. Son mensajes de alumnos, profesores, auxiliares de control, secretarias y auxiliares de conversación. Los auxiliares de conversación Eli, Joaquín, Nicole y Riley han recortado las hojas y explicado Thanksgiving a nuestros alumnos. Les han entregado las hojas para que escriban sus mensajes de Thanksgiving. Rosa, que es una de nuestras auxiliares de control ha contribuido a crear el árbol. 

Nos sentimos agradecidos porque amamos lo que hacemos. Alguien dijo alguna vez:

"Podrán quitarme mi reino , pero nunca me arrebatarán mi noble carácter".

 Y en efecto, esa es la esencia de la creatividad , que es inagotable, que nada ni nadie nos la arrebata.

Gracias a la vida  por la inspiración recibida, por esa fuente inagotable que fluye aún en tiempos de ira . Gracias por la fuerza interior , y a los que  nos aman para seguir adelante. 

Thanksgiving:

We continue believing in the bilingual project at IES Juan Ramon Jiménez. During these times being thankful is an act of harmony

and bravery. Gratitude creates a space of reunion, a place for peace, a way we distance ourselves from the hate we encounter in

our day to day lives.

Their messages of gratitude that appear on the tree at the entrance of IES Juan Ramon Jiménez revolve around family, friends,

and work. They are messages from students, teachers, facility workers, secretaries, and language assistants. The conversation

assistants Eli, Joaquin, Nicole,and Riley cut out the leaves and explained Thanksgiving to our students. They gave them these

leaves so that they could write messages for Thanksgiving. Rosa, who is one of our facility workers, helped make the tree. We feel

very grateful because we love what we do. Someone said once: “They can take away my kingdom, but they can never take away

my noble character”. Essentially, that is the essence of creativity, which is inexhaustible and cannot be taken away by anyone or

anything. We are grateful for life, for the inspiration we receive, for this endless source that flows even in times of anger. We are

THANKSGIVING -2020

Para Thanksgiving hemos creado un árbol con mensajes de agradecimiento de toda la comunidad educativa del IES Juan Ramón Jiménez.  Este árbol está expuesto en el Hall del Instituto. Aquí se muestra la copa del árbol con los mensajes. Los Auxiliares de conversación ayudaron en la confección del mismo.

THANKSGIVING

For Thanksgiving, we created a tree bearing messages of thankfulness, written by the entire IES education community at IES Juan Ramón Jiménez. This tree was displayed in the Institute Hall. The top of the tree with the messages is shown here. The conversational assistants helped in the preparation of the tree.
