The school year 10-11 was full of activities. We visited many countries in Europe and we organised exchange with Poland ( see exchanges in this page) and participated in a Comenius Project with other schools in Europe travelling to Bormio, Italy)
1. COMENIUS PROJECT
Our school participated in a Comenius project in three years, it was related to health and prevention of unhealthy habits " For a Better Life", the project was coordinated by a teacher of the English department, but other teachers were also involved ( PE, History etc). The students of five different countries ( Italy, France, Poland, Hungary and us) worked on the same issue. They travelled to France, Spain and Italy to share their research.
In the last year of the project we travelled to Bormio, in Italy and we could enjoy the Italian Alps and visit Milan too. The experience was great both for students and teachers and the hard work was worthwhile.

2. THEATRE IN ENGLISH
All along this school year my students of 1º Bachillerato Ampliación de Inglés prepared and rehearsed a theatre play I had adapted from the original short story by Oscar Wilde. It was " The Model Millionaire" They did great work, some of them prepared the sound and music, some painted the scenery, others looked for the costumes, accesories and make up and the rest were the actors. All the class participated. At the end of the year they could play it in the Cultural centre Jacinto Benavente for all the school.
I was very proud of them and it was a great experience they and me will always remember.

3. ENGLISH ASSISTANT
This year we had a new assistant Ben Derico, he came from Chicago, USA. He was also great help for all the teachers at the department and the CLIL teachers. He introduced the students and us to American culture. He is a very funny and lively boy and we wish him all the best in his new career as a film director.
3. SELECTIVIDAD 2011
Another year as a vocal in the Tribunal the selectividad. As usual the teachers who took part in the tribunal, the headmaster and the fabulous coordinator of our school Begoña Fernández Ervity shared lunch with the students of 2º bachillerato who were taking the test. It was also a great experience and a way to relax a little.

4. GRADUACIÓN 10-11
A new class graduated in our school, Class of 10-11. They are great people who will be successful in their future careers. I wish you the best.
