World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout the world.

Autism spectrum disorder is a difference in the way a kid's brain develops. Kids with autism may have trouble understanding the world around them.

5 TIPS TO STAY MENTALLY HEALTHY

This school break can be different, exciting or evan funny for some of you, however, it can be also stressful for you or your family.

Here you have 5 tips to stay mentally healthy.

1. TAKE CARE OF YOU   

Make sure that you are taking care of yourself by sleeping enough, eating haelthy and exercising.  

2. PLAN AHEAD

Try to schedule your routine. It will help you to have the feeling you are having everything under control. 

3. STICK TO YOUR ROUTINE

If you have planned practice yoga, dancing or whatever you have decided, stick to it. Routine usually helps to reduce stress.

4. KEEP YOUR SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS UP TO DATE 

Make the most of technology and take time to talk to your friends and relatives.

This is a great oportunity to say and express feelings that we do not show in a normal situation. 

5. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT

Find the cons of the moment you are living. Notice that you have time to enjoy with your family, you can outdo yourself, try new activities...

OAT FOR STARTING THE DAY WITH ENERGY

Hi guys!      

Today I bring you a recipe with oatmeal! Have you ever tried it? It is an ingredient very tasty and healthy, that will give you lot of energy to face up your day and it can be an alternative to your traditional breakfast.

 

1 serve ingredients

  • 10 tablespoons steel-cut oats
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup and 1/2 of milk
  • Brown sugar
  • 2 bananas
  • a pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Some blueberries

 

How to prepare

1. Put the water and the milk in a pot with a pinch of salt.

2. When ot boils, add some brown sugar and steel-cut oat.   

3. Leave it 10 minutes. Stir to avoid lumps.    

4. Once that is ready, place it in individual bowls and decorate with the fruit. You can make a bear face like in the picture or whatever you imagine.

Probably you have never listened or read this word, but it is something that will help you to face many situation in your life.  

Resilience is the ability to be happy, successful, etc. again after something difficult or bad has happened.

It is normal to feel stressed, sad or angry during these days. However, thare are some tips that you can use to overcom this crisis. 

1. Contact tour friends and relatives.  

 

2. Mantain a haelthy lifestyle (proper diet, sleep, exercise, and social contact with love to ones that live at home).  

3. Set a timetable with the task you should do.  

 

4. Limit time of exposure to TV and the news related to Coronavirus.       

 

5. Draw on the skills you have used in the past to handle your emotions.
