This is the text that you should have in your project:

Conquest and Dependent Emirate (711-756)
In 711 Muza and Tariq defeated the last Visigoth King in the battle of Guadalete. They conquered the iberian Peninsula in 7 years.
The territory will be called al-Ándalus and the period will be called “Dependent Emirate of Damascus”.

Independent Emirate (756-929)
In 756 Abd al-Rahman I proclaimed the Independent Emirate.
He didn’t obey the caliph in political affairs.

Caliphate of Córdoba (921-1031)
In 929 Abd al-Rahman III proclaimed the Caliphate that implied a political and religious independence from the Caliphate of Baghdad. It was a period of political, economic and cultural prosperity.

Taifa Kingdoms (1031-1492)
The Caliphate entered a period of decadence and in 1031 the governors of the different provinces proclaimed themselves Taifa kings. The Caliphate was divided in 28 Taifa kingdoms.
