Last week many of you did some activities with poles in balance. Yet, we have not practised balance itself, but here is a presentation about some factors that help us to improve it.
Chess is considered a sport by the international olympic comittee. When playing chess we have to train our brain to develope many intellectual abilities, see connection between movements of your pieces and use memory skills to remember hypothesis. Creative problem solving also contribute to the level of an individual's chess ability. This sport helps us with our ability to concentrate, because you have to be focus on your thoughts to make the best possible movement.
Have a look at these images that explain us how to move the pieces.

What to do when a little accident practising physical activity happens? is it always same procedure?
Here are examples of some common ones that we, despite being children, must know.
The kids have been rehearsing a dance for the last three weeks. Here are the outcomes of their work.

Physical education is a great subject. It serves us to improve our physical conditions, socialise, stay healthy, have fun, learn new concepts,...
One of the contents of physical education is dancing. Dancing has a lot of benefits, for instance:
- Is a way to know our body better, improve our balance and corporal schema, because we make movements that we have to control and coordinate them among different parts of our body.
- Improves our body lenguage, which is the ability to convey messages with the movement of our arms and legs. According to the melody , we have to move fast or slow, or is it similar when you dance rock to classical music?
- Makes our attention spam and concentration better, because we have to be focused on a melody.
- Improves our self-discipline , because learning a coreography implies effort, and we have to keep repeating it many times until we get it right.
- Through coordination when we dance, we develope a sense of correct posture which is good for our spine and avoid backache.
Finally, dancing is doing physical activity and only for that fulfils all benefits said at the beginning. So, everybody shake your hips, move your arms, stamp your feet, snap your fingers ,clap your hands, and....
DISCOVER THE FUN OF DANCING!
Last week we have been practicing skipping rope.
Skipping rope is a very good excercise to develope our coordination of arms and legs, as well as our basic physical conditions.
Some of you take a great effort to coordinate movements.
As usually when you learn something, at the beginning it is very physically demanding, time consuming and implies a lot of energy.
However, once you worked with perseverance to learn it, it becomes easy , less time consuming and great fun.
So, keep it up , and practice, practice, practice!
Take a look at this video to see what is possible.
IF THERE IS A POPULAR SPORTMAN THAT I LOOK UP TO , THAT IS RAFA NADAL, NOT ONLY BECAUSE HOW HE PLAYS, BUT ALSO BECAUSE OF HIS FAIRPLAYNESS IN AND OUT OF THE COURT, BUT...
WHAT IS FAIR PLAY?
FAIR PLAY IS SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT IN SPORTS, GAMES, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND IN LIFE.

Their fitness is different. For every sport we need a specific trainning. Here you can see what are the four types of sports and physical activities. Which one do you like most??
Last week we practised excercises related with balance. There are many elements that are involved in us keeping the balance . Have a look to the presentation below.

Juggling is a very important excercise because it improves a lot our coordination, and also it is a way to develope our laterality, which means the ability to use both parts of our body, for example right and left arm.
Like most of the things at the begining, it is difficult and requires a lot of effort to learn it, but once you automate the movements it is great fun, and every time you practice it, you enjoy.
Some of you has been doing juggling with only one ball last week. If you want to keep practising at home about this interesting activity, here I leave you some videos. I really recomend to continue practising on your own. Enjoy!
Here I leave you a clue (una pista) of some activities about spacing (percepcion y vision espacial) that we are going to practise during the following week.
Im sure you will be able to do it very good!
Last two weeks along with the next, we are doing activities related with body awareness. That is excercises in which the student has to coordinate movements of different parts of his body. We practised this by different means such as work-out circuits.
Also, every day we do a warm-up (calentamiento), which starts with running and jogging around the playground. In the main part of the lesson, we usually practise motor games like the one of ''corchopanes'' and usually, if we have time enough, we end up with a cool-down activity such as ''pistolero'' or ''director de orquesta''.
Developing our coordination and self awareness of all parts of our body is very important to get better results in every sport.
I leave you below a video of different circuits:
Have a look at this image:
take a look at this video as well , about warming up , enjoy:

Im really proud of be working as a teacher, from my point of view is the best job in the world.
Specially physical education , im am very keen on sports, I like to practise many sports and do different physical activities. Teaching students to run , jump, dance, hop, dribble, cooperate, juggle and bounce the ball among many other physical activities is great.
This is my first year in Esperanza school , and I hope this subject will be interesting for everyone.
