AUXILIARES CURSO 2023-24:

1.- CAITLIN:  "Hello, my name is Caitlin Costello. I am from Melbourne, Australia. I have a Bachelors of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology). I enjoy being in nature, swimming and dancing. Kind regards, Caitlin 

2.- CRISTINA: My name is Cristina. I was born in Montreal, Canada and I grew up between Montreal and Costa Rica. I have 10 cousins and 11 nephews so I have always been around lots of children and loved it! I did my undergraduate studies in Montreal and a masters degree here in Madrid. I then worked for two years as a 3rd grade and high school teacher in an international school in Costa Rica, where every subject was taught in English. 

Teaching has been an extremely rewarding job and this is what drew me to the Auxiliar de Conversación programme. I am exited to work alongside the students here at Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo and help them expand their knowledge, comfort, and fluency of the English language. 

3.- SOPHIA: Sophia is from Florida in the United States, and also has family in Switzerland. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing tennis, and traveling with friends. Sophia loves her family, friends, and dog. It is her second year living in Madrid.

4.- Mia: Hello! My name is Mia and I was an assistant here at Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo last year. I loved the school and Madrid so much that I decided to come back for another year! I enjoy travelling, reading, running and going to watch the Liverpool football games 😊

5.- DANIELA: My name is Daniela Contreras. I'm 29 years old and I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors. Before becoming an auxiliar de conversación, I studied journalism and political science, then worked at two tv news stations and with a member of the U.S. Congress. I'm excited to join students at CEIP Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo to expand their understanding and comprehension of the English language and American culture. I look forward to a wonderful school year!

6.- SOPHIE: Hi everyone, my name is Sophie Knepper I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I then moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to study at Tulane University, and obtained my undergraduate and masters degree in biomedical engineering. I love the beach, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. This is my first time living in a country aside from the United States, and I am so excited to get to know the country, the people, and most importantly, the students and teachers at Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo Primary school. 

BILINGÜISMO:

El programa se inicia Institucionalmente en Ed. Primaria en el curso 2009-2010.

En Ed. Infantil la implantación del programa comenzó en el año 2017.

Actualmente el número de horas impartidas en lengua extranjera es:

El Proyecto es posible en la medida que es secundado por todo el Claustro de profesores.

Durante este curso, 7 Auxiliares de Conversación que prestan apoyo en el Centro 4 días a la semana, 16 horas cada uno.

Tres auxiliares imparten conversación de Inglés en sesión semanal a los profesores que quieren participar, los viernes de 12:30 a 13:30.

Se establece una reunión mensual de coordinación los terceros miércoles de 12:30 a 13:30 horas a parte de la coordinación semanal de los niveles.

Algunas otras funciones de los auxiliares en el centro son:

-Organización de actividades complementarias.

- Organización y elaboración de los Materiales Curriculares para el desarrollo del programa.

- Organización del trabajo preparatorio con el fin de Orientar a los alumnos para la realización de las pruebas externas de 6º de Primaria.
