In the 2006 – 2007 Academic School Year, our school became part of the Bilingual Program. Within this program, at least one third of the classes on the timetable are taught in English. Except for Spanish Language and Mathematics, the remaining subjects of the curriculum may be taught in English.
During the past ten years, we have been linked to a ¨Twin School¨ in Nottingham, England called Dunkirk Primary and Nursery School. In 2006, some teachers from Dunkirk came to visit us and later that year, we repayed the visit to Nottingham. We have also created an action plan to exchange student works between schools such as Christmas cards and messages, short stories, art works, DVD presentations, and videos about different events that take place throughout the year. In addition, two American Language Assistants have been working with us. They help us within the classroom to facilitate activities, to speak with the children in a native accent, and to introduce cultural activities such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Valentine’s Day.
From the 2018 academic year , our School is registered in the etwinning school network and we are in contact and collaborate with the Laleham Lea School We hope this is the beginning of a long friendship between our schools.
