HEALTHY HABITS PREVENT ILLNESS

  To have a healthy life we have to follow some basic healthy habits that can be included in the following 4 groups:

1. Eating healthy:

* It is very important to keep a healthy diet, this mean:

a) A balance diet: It is a diet that gives you the right amount of nutrients.

    [Nutrients: Carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals, fibre, ...]

b) A sufficient diet: the diet that gives you the right amount of energy that you need, but not too much.

2. Exercise:

* Important beneficts of doing exercise and sports:

     - It makes our muscles stronger and more flexible.

     - It´s good for your circulatory system and the respiratory system.

3. Sleep:

* Get enough sleep (at least 9 or 10 hours per day).

     It allows our body to rest and grow.

4. Hygiene:

     - Having showers regularly

     - Washing our hand before meals and after going to the toilet

     - Cleening our teeth after meals & going regularly to the dentist

5. Medical check-ups  They help us to monitor our health and prevent illnesses.
