POPULATION
To study the evolution of the population in a location, region or country we use instruments such as:
- The municipality register: A list of people who live in a municipality. [Name + age + adress. (It´s updated every year)]
- The census: List of inhabitants in a municipality, a province or a country.
It includes: name + age + address + education + work + type of house + ...
It´s updated every 10 years

* Map of the distribution of population in Spain.
First, have a look to the bottom right corner of the map to understand the meaning of each colour. Then think about ....
a) Which are the provincies with more population in Spain?
b) Which are the areas with more population in Spain (densily-populated areas)?
And which are the provincies with less population (very sparsely-populated areas)?
Why do you think that there are more people there?
(1Clue: think about the differente climates that there are in Spain)
Well if you liked the previous map of distribution of the population... try now with the next one.... Just click on the map bellow.
Then you can click on each province and you will find the number of inhabitant and the density of population (number of inhabitants por km2). You can also see the size of each province.
