Llegó el momento… Esperado momento, y a su vez triste. Nos despedimos de nuestras profes, aquellas que nos acogieron el primer día de nuestro “cole de mayores” con una sonrisa, con un abrazo, con muchos besos porque algunos de nosotros no parábamos de llorar aquel septiembre de 2012, cuando tan solo teníamos tres añitos y los que cumplíamos a finales de año, sólo teníamos dos.

Llegó el momento… Pero no estemos tristes, al contrario: hemos crecido, hemos aprendido, hemos creado un vínculo especial con nuestras maestras y con nuestros amigos. Un gran salto, un cambio de etapa, nos hacemos mayores y hay que celebrarlo. Nuestros nuevos profesores y profesoras nos esperan con los brazos abiertos, deseando enseñarnos, deseando conocernos y estar con nosotros.

El día de la graduación es un momento muy especial y emotivo, es un momento para disfrutar de un discurso que preparan cada una de las profes, y lo hacen de corazón, para todos vosotros papás y mamás.

Algún día vuestros hijos e hijas cuando sean mayores mirarán las fotos y el vídeo de la entrega de diplomas y se acordarán de sus profes, de sus amiguitos y de ese momento tan especial.

En el Colegio Nova Hispalis nos gusta hacer unas despedidas y cambios de etapa memorables, emotivos y divertidos a la vez, compartiendo momentos únicos con las familias de nuestros alumnos y alumnas. Son momentos muy especiales, y así queremos que siga siendo.

Gracias a las familias por estar ahí, por hacer que nuestras graduaciones sean especiales y por mostrarnos vuestro cariño y empatía. Gracias.

Etapa 3-6

We live in a globalized world where English is the main used language to communicate, to make business and to socialize. We can foresee the need and benefits of learning English in our children, and the importance of acquiring it beside their mother tongue.

Children have an extraordinary learning ability. Especially at early stages when their cognitive abilities are developed at full speed, making this the best stage to learn a new language.

In Nova Hispalis School, at early stages of development, from 3 to 6 years old, we strive to encourage our kids to learn English in a fun, didactic but educational way. We are so keen on this that on the 20th of May we went to Madrid city center to see a play with our kids. The actors were native English speakers that above all made children participate in the English activities and games. They interacted with them and made them step onto the stage of the theatre. It was amazing to see how children from 3 to 5 years old understood the directions, instructions and guidelines of the English actors.

When the activity finished, we came back to the school and there, in our classrooms, with their teacher and in a group, we talked about the experience and their preferences, likes and favorite things about the play.

Saber reciclar todos los residuos, respetar el medio ambiente y conocer qué podemos hacer para preservar nuestra naturaleza son algunas de las grandes enseñanzas que nosotros, los maestros y los papis y mamis, podemos explicar a nuestros alumnos, hijos e hijas.

El día 17 de mayo se celebra el Día Mundial del Reciclaje. Pero más que celebraciones, son necesarias actitudes día tras día. A partir de los 3 años de edad, los niños ya pueden aprender a separar los residuos.

Es necesario explicar paso a paso a los niños por qué tenemos que reciclar. Los niños necesitan saber el porqué de las cosas para poder hacerlas. Es necesario hacerles entender que el reciclaje existe para evitar la destrucción de nuestro medioambiente.

¿Qué podemos hacer para reciclar con los niños?

Podemos seguir la regla de las cuatro erres para reciclar con los niños: reducir, reutilizar, reciclar y recuperar. Reducir la cantidad de basura, reutilizar envases y bolsas, reciclar materiales como el plástico, y recuperar materiales para volver a utilizarlos. Paralelamente a la educación medioambiental, los padres también debemos seguir algunas pautas o sugerencias en su día a día:

1. Elegir con cuidado los productos que compramos, considerando las posibilidades de reutilización de los envases.
2. Evitar comprar productos con demasiado envoltorio.
3. Siempre que sea posible, reciclar las bolsas del supermercado para envolver la basura o para llevarlas cuando salgas de compras.
4. Reciclar los papeles que utilizamos en casa, usando ambas caras.
5. Sacar fotocopias de doble faz.
6. Promover que los niños usen más la pizarra que los papeles.
7. Acudir a talleres de reciclado de papel.
8. Comprar bebidas en botellas recuperables.
9. Usar lámparas de bajo consumo.
10. Difundir sus experiencias de reciclaje con los amigos y familiares

Nuestro Proyecto reciclado:

Este año, decidimos hacer algo diferente, innovador, y elegimos… El Proyecto Reciclado. Se basa en realizar juguetes con material reciclado de todo tipo. Los niños se han involucrado, y los papis también. Nos hemos concienciado todos un poquito más de la importancia del reciclaje… Y así ha quedado. Esperamos que disfrutéis con las imágenes de todos los juguetes que han hecho vuestr@s niñ@s.

Once more, on the 27th of April, we made a trip to a school farm. This time we went to “The Loft”, a school farm in Chapinería. There were a lot of different animals. We were astonished by the landscape.

The day was cold, it was about to rain. But we were very lucky, because it did not rain at all, and we were able to interact with and touch different animals. We touched little rabbits, and we saw pigeons and ponies. One of the ponies had just given birth to a baby pony whose father was a donkey and the baby pony was a mix between them, half a pony, half a donkey. It was a funny baby pony!!

Children also made numerous workshops: herbs, soaps, lollipops, etc. The workshops were done and explained by local monitors. They were done entirely in English. That was something that teachers and kids liked a lot.

Three-to-four-year-old children went home the same day but the other kids stayed with their teacher overnight. There was an evening party; it was amazing because after dinner they enjoyed a discotheque with guided games and free dance for little kids.

When the kids went to bed they were very tired, it was a hard but fun day for them. The following day, some of the kids woke up at 7:00 am. They started the day early and with a lot of strength.

During the second day they continued to enjoy the animals and the scenery, and more workshops.

It was an unforgettable experience, a unique and fun one. Spending two full days in the company of the teacher was a remarkable experience for all of the second cycle kids, as this is the last year with their teachers. We have spent many hours, days, months and even years together. They have taught us, teachers, many things, and soon they will complete the second course and move away… Another big step in their lives.

We are proud and happy for them and we want to thank you parents for the trust and faith you have placed on us. We hope you like the pictures and we wish you the best.

El Mago Gustavo vino a vernos con su magia, con su chispa, con sus ganas de hacernos reír y pasar un buen rato. Y lo consiguió.

Nos motivó a leer, a pasarlo bien mientras leemos y a que nuestra imaginación vuele alto…

Bajamos a la sala de Psicomotricidad, donde nos sentamos y él nos empezó a contar una historia. Según la contaba, dibujaba en una pizarra unos dibujos increíbles. Nosotros íbamos continuando la historia y él iba pintando. Fue emocionante ver, cómo lo que él pintaba era todo lo que nosotros inventábamos y elegíamos.

Y así, nos hizo saber, de una manera original, que la lectura es muy importante, que hay que leer a diario e imaginarnos aquello que leemos.

Como sabéis, papis y mamis, en nuestro Colegio Nova Hispalis, fomentamos mucho la lectura con este tipo de actividades lúdicas, además de bajar a la Biblioteca y hacer talleres y lecturas de cuentos.
