Main objectives

  • To use, in a meaningful way, ICT (computers, scanner, digital cameras, video-cameras, Internet, email, tape recorders) as resources to widen knowledge and to facilitate communication among members of different school communities. This will be achieved by exchanging pupils’ work, sharing experiences and learning from each other.
  • To exploit, the available resources (spaces, environments, materials, families and teachers) from all the different educational communities that are involved in this project, in order to enrich the learning experience of all the participants. This will be achieved by choosing several common topics (Art, autumn, identity, sounds...) to work on and each school will work on them from their particular cultural point of view. The partnership will set up a shared web site with presentation of all activities.
  • To recognize the children’s role as active agents in documenting their own learning process. This will be achieved by getting the pupils to take photos and videos themselves, they will also record sounds and document their work.
  • To facilitate the integration of not only new digital technology into the curriculum but also to encourage the integration of artistic elements, which this project aims to particularly focus on. This will be achieved by choosing a contemporary artist from each country and using his/her work as an inspiration for work with our pupils in activities that may or may not involve the use of ICT.
  • To reduce"digital divide" and counterbalance inequalities at the same time as responding to the new educational challenges we face. This will be achieved by giving families the chance to access ICT (through, for example family corners), using ICT on a regular basis as a tool for learning, helping families to become familiar with ICT.
  • To show our work to other schools, teachers, families and the general public. This will be achieved by creating our own web site, by putting the results on public display in the schools, other public places and the media, by holding informative meetings with teachers and families, by speaking to other schools in the region as well as through the use of e-mail and possibly video conferences.
  • To give families the opportunity to participate in a European educational project. This will be achieved by creating a section for families on the shared web site, where they can see what we do and speak to each other internationally and share everyday experiences and ideas.
  • Two children taking a picture with a digital camera Children are active agents in documenting their own learning process
  • A group of children, each one using a laptop We should become familiar with ICT and use them as a tool for learning

The child is made of one hundred
the child has a hundred languages
a hundred hands
a hundred thoughts
a hundred ways of thinking,
of playing, ...
a hundred worlds to dicover,
... to invent, ... to dream...
